Bollywood has turned into a 'mandi' - Dharmendra

Dharmendra, the son of a school teacher in the village Lalton, Ludhiana, got his Bollywood entry through Filmfare’s talent hunt in Mumbai (then Bombay). However, after spending five decades in the industry, Dharmendra feels that it has turned like a ‘mandi’ (market) and actors have become like hawkers. Dharmendra today feels blessed for doing a film like Yamla Pagla Deewana with his sons Sunny and Bobby Deol. The movie will release on January 14, 2011 and it is a perfect blend of comedy, action and romance. After getting so much of accolades from the industry in these years, Dharmendra says that he came to Mumbai with a dream of getting seen in film posters. Like any normal human being, he also wanted to be loved and admired, possess a flat and a Fiat car. But, the industry has given him much more than what he expected and now he gets his fans call from the places as far as like Tunisia and Nigeria. The jovial and glam boy Dharmedra will be back with his upcoming movie Yamla Pagla Deewana, which will reflect the wonderful chemistry between the father and the sons. Dharmedra says that in real life, there is awkwardness between him and his sons but he wonders how naturally Bobby calls him a ‘kamina’ in the film.
