Review: Paramthma is an attempt in a philosophical style by director Yogaraj Bhat and the characterization of Power star Puneeth Rajakumar in this film is exclusive. Puneeth Rajakumar does lot of talking Yogaraj Bhat ‘Mungaru Male’ hero Golden star Ganesh. At the same time this is not an exquisite cinema! It seems the director intends to say that ‘Attached detachment in life is good’. This is what even Swami Vivekananda propagated in his life. One should learn to lose in life is a pretty good preparation. But the younger generations never mind in losing permanently. Yogaraj Bhat has not brought in seriousness at all in the role of Puneeth Rajakumar and this is debatable. There is lot of intelligence and power to this character no doubt. But taking everything casually and funny way is not acceptable to everyone. The film ‘Paramathma’ has a good build up in the first half and second half is loaded with developments and entry of lot of characters even dilutes the attention.
While going on and on in his narration Yogaraj Bhat has not forgotten to look at the demands of power star Puneeth Rajakumar fans demand. There are three chilling action scenes and romantic moods in the film. The fun and frolic is carried throughout but only complaint of ‘Paramathma’ is lacking seriousness. In the building up the character of the protagonist the variety of mood is also explained. Showing that he has learnt Kung Fu the director says he is capable of taking anyone at difficult times. This is what the justification needed for shaping up the key characters. The only serious character in the film is that of Avinash father of Deepa. For all other characters there is enough of cool and jovial mood built by director Yogaraj Bhat.
